GOLD STAR RECIPIENTS FOR OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER
SERVICE FOR DEAF GUESTS
These individuals not only provide exceptional customer service to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals but also exceed notable expectations.
These individuals will face minimal or no challenges in determining how to best accommodate Deaf and Hard of Hearing guests.
​
They will promptly address any issues to ensure that Deaf/Hard of Hearing guests receive the best possible service.
​
These individuals have demonstrated exceptional talent by showcasing, through one or more Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance inspections, the importance of interacting with Deaf/Hard of Hearing customers in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner.
​
Most importantly, these individuals will treat Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals with the respect they deserve as human beings.
​
Knowing American Sign Language is not a requirement to earn a Gold Star; it's all about effective human communication.
​
Receiving a Gold Star for Outstanding Customer Service to Deaf Guests is extremely rare, with fewer than 1% of overall ADA compliance inspections resulting in such recognition.
Please note that there were no awards given for the years 2021 and 2022.
